Curbing Corruption: ICPC trains 50 north central executives on intergrity and ethics

Executives from a total of 27 ministries,departments and parastatals MDA’S from the States of the North central region have converged on Makurdi Benue State’s capital for a round table dialogue on National ethics and integrity policy/compliance as part of measures to curb corruption.

Declaring the 2 day conference open Yahaya Daudu who represented the Chairman of the commission said the programme which is the 4th in the series this year will strengthen the commission’s anti corruption war in the various establishments.

Gathered, were executives of anti corruption and transparency units from selected ministries department and agencies in the North central region at the instance of the independent corrupt practices and other related offences commission ICPC.

Their objective as unveiled by the representative of Chairman Yahaya Dauda
is to equip members of the ACTU in their various agencies with requisite skills to combat the hydra headed problem in their establishments.

In his overview of the National Ethics and integrity policy, resident anti corruption commissioner ICPC and other related offences, acknowledged their critical role in the fight against corruption noting that all hands must be on deck to win the game war.

Participants are optimistic that the training will yield the desired effect and pledged to utilise skills acquired and spread the core values of the policy in their various establishments.
