The FCT Minister of State, Ramatu Aliyu has called on Nigerian youths to participate actively in the country’s politics.

The Minister gave the advice at an interactive workshop to mark this year’s International Youth Day.

Speaking on the sub theme: “the role of youths in peaceful elections”, the Minister called on young people in the country to shun political thuggery and take advantage of President Muhammadu Buhari’s policies to better their lives.

She said the FCT administration was impressed that her last interaction with the youths during the COVID 19 pandemic yielded positive results.

The Minister also noted that youths being the greatest resource of any nation will continued to be given top priority in government’s business.

She therefore requested the youths to take advantage of various policies provided by the Federal Government.

The Minister noted that the Federal Capital Territory Administration has cascaded these policies down through the Social Development Secretariat, Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat and the Health and Human Services Secretariat to ensure that the youths are engaged.
