Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the All Progressives Congress, APC, filed two motion ex parte on the 11th of August, 2022 at the Osun state high court.

Counsel to the petitioner, Yomi Alliyu, SAN, says the ex parte motion is to substitute service on the second respondent, Governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke, based on his inaccessibility when bailiffs attempted to serve the PDP candidate the notice of the petition.

He alleged that the bailiffs safety was not guaranteed on getting to the residence of the 2nd respondent as the counsel prefers pasting the petition on the court’s notice board.

The second application the petitioner served the first respondent, INEC, seeks the inspection of materials used in the conduct of the July 16 governorship election especially the electronic scan of voters register and ballot papers.

The tribunal led by Justice Teresa Aorga Kume granted both motion ex parte for a substituted service on the second defendant by pasting it on the notice board of the tribunal.

The second respondent who is the Governor-elect , Ademola Adeleke is expected to respond to the petition within the next 21 days.
