The Federal Government has expressed readiness to reform the old pension scheme, under the defined benefit scheme.
It is in line with this that the Pension Transitional Directorate arrangement commenced verification of eight hundred and thirteen pensioners from the northeast and northwest, who are members of the Bank of the Agriculture Pension Scheme.
It is a seamless and smooth exercise of the Bank of Agriculture staff pensioners from the northeast and northwest, having their verification in Kano State, as part of the Federal Government’s efforts to ensure a more transparent process of pensioners being paid promptly without challenges of pensioners owed arrears.
The verification exercise was conducted under the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate PTAD.

The Executive Secretary, Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate,
Chioma Ejikeme, who was on the ground to supervise the exercise, commended the process while assuring the pensioners that they are committed to managing their payments effectively.
The pensioners commended the verification process while looking forward to regular payments of their pension.
The next of kin of deceased pensioners were also on ground for the verification.
