Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has appealed to aspirants of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who lost out during the recent party primaries, to close ranks and remain United to ensure the victory of the party during the 2023 general elections.

Governor Sule made the appeal when he convened a meeting involving state party officials and all the aspirants on the platform of the party.

Over 191 aspirants of the APC in Nasarawa state attended the parley to rub minds on how to move the party forward.

Gov Sule said the gathering was a demonstration of their faith and love in the APC, in spite of all that happened at the primaries.

He noted that the high number of people seeking elective positions under the platform of the APC, signify the acceptability of the party in the state.

He urged those who felt aggrieved to mend fences in the spirit of reconciliation.

Former governor of the state , Tanko Al-makura who is seeking re-election to represent Nasarawa South at the senate, appealed to Sule to provide soft landing for some of the aspirants that resigned their appointments in order to contest but lost during the primaries.

Al-Makura urged, committed members of the APC, to consider and sacrifice for the good of the party.

The former Governor cautioned against laxity, as according to him, the 2023 general election may not be the easiest because of the use of technology in the voting process.

Also Speaking at the event, Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Balarabe Ibrahim ,state chairman of the APC, John Mamman and others appreciated the Governor for convening the meeting, stressing that it is the wish of every member of the party for the APC to win all the elective offices come 2023.
