At least eight Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP on Wednesday boycotted the party’s National Caucus meeting in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The meeting which had the party’s Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar in attendance is believed to be geared towards resolving the party’s post-convention crisis.
The meeting is also crucial to the formation of the party’s campaign council ahead of commencement of campaigns on September 28.
Most of the Governors absent at the National Caucus meeting are those sympathic to the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike who wants the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu to resign before the 2023 elections.
