At least six people have been died in a flood with more than 150 houses, farmlands washed away in the disaster.
The farmlands and other property, valued in millions of Naira were destroyed in 22 communities in Gamawa Local Government of Bauchi State, North East Nigeria.

Executive Chairman, Gamawa Local Government, Babayo Ahmed, confirmed the incident shortly after inspecting the scenes.
Mostly hit were communities along the Gamawa- Potiskum-Hajeja road.
The entire area had suffered heavy downpours in the last few days resulting in the flood that has completely sacked people in the communities.
Residents said it is the first time they will be experiencing this magnitude of flood, calling on government to come to their aid.
