Counsel to El Zakzaky Marshall Abubakar who took the brief of Femi Falana, prayed the court to declare that the refusal of the NIS to process their travel documents to enable them travel abroad is illegal, unconstitutional, null and void.

The lawyer stated that their clients’ health condition is deteriorating and need urgent medical attention abroad.

Meanwhile counsel to NIS Jimoh Adamu had denied the allegations of refusal to issue new passport to them saying his office is conducting investigations.

Adamu had in February approached the court with a motion for joinder praying the court to join DSS and NIA in the suit.

The request was granted by the court and counsel for El Zakzaky amemded its process to include DSS and NIA as 3rd and 4th defendants respectively.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu adjourned the matter which was slated for further mention to November 9 for hearing.
