Cross River State Government has been Commended for making Nigeria proud as Tourism destination through the unlocking of the socio economic potentials inherent in creative arts and culture.
Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed stated this while speaking with journalists in Calabar, adding that Nigeria is blessed with a vast social cultural creative tourism potentials which Cross River is leading.

The minister who was in Calabar for the 2022 Wold Tourism Day celebrations, explained that tourism industry business is huge and can reduce unemployment while promoting national Growth and Development.
The Cross River State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Eric Anderson and the Director General National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, Nura Kangiwa said the event opens opportunities for tourism and hospitality industry players in the country.
With the 2022 theme as “Rethinking Tourism”, the programme is aimed at highlighting the shift towards tourism now recognized as a crucial pillar of development globally.
