Gombe state government has called on agencies and the people in the state to collaborate with the National Population Commission to ensure a successful National population census in April 2023
The state governor Inuwa Yahaya represented by the secretary to the state government Prof Ibrahim Njodi says the importance of the census cannot be overemphasized given its role in the planning and distribution of resources in the state hence the need for proper collaboration with the National Population Commission.
As the race is on to get the people counted, the National Population Commission in Gombe state is taking on stakeholders through the process of engagement and enlightenment ahead of the census
The state government is seeking collaboration stating that the April 2023 census is essential to the ten-year development plan of the state
The commission is happy with cooperation from the people in Gombe thus assuring that the 2023 census would be factual given the electronic data transfer
Indeed for the National Population Commission, the race is on, and getting the people involved remains a task it must achieve.
