American rap artist Coolio has died at the age of 59 in Los Angeles, California.
The ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ rapper’s longtime manager and friend Jarez confirmed the incident on Wednesday.
Jarez said it is suspected that the Hip Hop rapper died of cardiac arrest when he slumped in a friend’s house.
Investigations are on to ascertain the cause of the rapper’s death.
Coolio became famous in 1995 when he recorded Gangsta’s Paradise for dangerous minds; a track that earned him a Grammy Award.
Coolio was also an actor, having starred in movies such as ‘All That’, ‘ Martin’, The Nanny and ‘Charmed’.
