Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri

The Bayelsa State Government has reiterated that it has never waivered in upholding the Transparency and Accountability Law, 2012 that mandates it to render account of revenues accruing to the state from the Federation Account to the people.

Commissioner for Information, Strategy and Orientation, Ayiba Duba stated this during the transparency briefing for the months of July and August, 2022, in Yenagoa, the state capital.

Duba stressed that the current administration since inception had kept faith with the transparency policy and had been prudently managing the state’s resources.

He said a total of N560 million balance was brought forward from July to August, having a closing balance of N4.93 billion as at the end August, 2022 after recurrent and capital expenditures
