The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Matthew Kolawole has said the fire incident which burnt the main chamber and the gallery of the assembly was suspicious and will be investigated.
Speaking to journalists after conducting Governor Yahaya Bello round the affected section of the building, Kolawole said the incident will not deter them from carrying out their responsibilities as an arm of government.
Also on ground to assess the level of damage was the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Edward Onoja as well as other top government officials.
Onoja said if the fire incident was orchestrated by enemies of the state then their mission was a failed one as all documents of the house were intact.
