Ekiti Road Infrastructure : Residents decry poor state, accuses Govt. of neglect

Residents of Ekiti state have appealed to Government at all levels to find a lasting solution to the deplorable condition of roads network in the state.

They made the appeal at different locations in the state during interviews with ait.live news.

Residents of the state said Ado Ekiti, as the state capital is about to be cut off from the rest of the country due to the deplorable condition of roads network in the state.

The residents also said the poor condition of the roads have worsened the state’s economic situation and it is contributing to the insecurity in Ekiti state.

The commissioner for information in Ekiti state, Akin Omole has however promised that the state government will fix all affected state roads after the raining season.

The federal Controller of works, Ekiti state, Ishaq Lawal also said the federal government is doing its best to fix roads across the state.

The affected roads include, Ado Ekiti, Aramoko, Ita Ore road, Ado Ekiti, Iju , Akure road, Ilu omoba – Ijesa Isu road and others.
