The Benue State Government has disclosed plans to fund the treatment of 7-month old Aaron Asaar from Gboko Local Government Area who was born with a hole in the heart.

Governor Samuel Ortom stated this during an unscheduled visit to patients in various hospitals in Makurdi the state capital. The Governor visited the State University Teaching Hospital, Rahama Hospital, Bishop Murray Hospital and the Federal Medical Centre.

Aaron was at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital Makurdi but was referred for further medical attention abroad.

The Governor during his visit also settled hospital bills of all patients at the teaching hospital amounting to N3.8 million noting that the visit to hospitals was to assist the patients and reassure them that the State has not forgotten about them in their time of pain and distress.
