More reactions have continued to trail the startling discovery of a 4km illegal crude oil pipeline in Forcados Area of Delta state, weeks after the takeoff of the federal government’s multi-billion naira pipeline surveillance contract to the ex-militant leader Government Ekpemupolo popularly known as Tompolo.
Minority Leader of the House of Representatives Hon Ndudi Elumelu a Niger Deltan says the discovery by Tompolo within the shortest period of its takeoff shows that the Federal government for a very long time missed out by declaring Tompolo wanted.
Elumelu also says the attendant effects of oil theft to the nation’s economy made the House to pass a resolution setting up an adhoc committee to investigate oil theft while he believes that a lot will be unravelled by the time the committee finishes its investigation
He described the Federal government award of surveillance contract to Tompolo as the right decision since he knows the terrain well and his people suffer the impact of oil exploration and exploitation.

Elumelu who was among the 450 recipients of the Federal government’s national award reveals he least expected himself making the list being a minority leader who speaks on critical issues affecting the nation.
According to Elumelu, the honour is a challenge to recipients to do more by fostering Peace, unity and development of Nigeria.
