The Ekiti state government has indefinitely postponed the swearing in ceremony of the new Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Habibat Aduloju and Attorney- general and Commissioner for justice Barrister Dayo Apata.
This follows the death of the speaker of the State House of Assembly, Funminiyi Afuye on Wednesday.

According to a statement released by, the state government, the thanksgiving service for Governor Biodun Oyebanji scheduled for Sunday, October 23, 2022 has also been postponed.
The statement said a new date will be announced.
