Some members of the All Progressives Congress from Akoko South East and Akoko Southwest Local Government Areas of Ondo state have kicked against their exclusion as delegates in the party’s coming House of Representatives primary elections scheduled to hold next week.
The members who stormed the party secretariat in Akure to obtain forms to enable them participate in the congress lamented the absence of party officials at the secretariat to attend to their request to be included in the process as delegates.
A Federal High Court sitting in Akure had last Thursday ordered for a fresh primary of the APC in the federal constituency.
The court, presided over by Justice Demi Ajayi, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) to conduct another election within seven days.
The aggrieved APC members appealed to the party leadership to look into their exclusion as a matter of urgency.
Meanwhile, the State Chairman of the party, Ade Adetimehin while speaking to AIT’s Olusola Adesuyan on telephone denied receiving any letter ordering sale of delegates form for the primary election rerun.
