Terrorists operating in the Jibiya Forest Area of Katsina State have killed a steward, Lawal Dahiru, working in the Government House, in Katsina.
Confirming the incident, the Police spokesman, Superintendent Gambo Isah, says Dahiru was killed by the terrorists, after collecting a five Million Naira ransom placed on him after his abduction twenty-four days ago.

Isah says the deceased was abducted on his farmland, not far away from the 35 Battalion Natsinta, Nigerian Army Barracks, along the Jibiya-Katsina Road.
It was also gathered that the deceased had been working in the Katsina Government House for about 30 years.
Late Dahiru is survived by four wives and about twenty children, including grandchildren.
He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
