Delta ready to host National Sports Festival

As the National Sports Festival torch continues its tour of the states after its colourful official lighting in Abuja by the Vice-President, Chairman Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the festival, Patrick Ukah announced that all is now ready for the take-off of the event as Delta, the host state is giving finishing touches to facilities.

Patrick Ukah who gave this impression at Asaba while briefing the press on the state of locations and facilities to be used for the festival a week after Governor Okowa visited and ordered for speedy completion of works, maintained that by the 20th of November every contractor would have officially handed over their sites to the committee.

The enthusiastic Ukah announced the turnaround of the Stephen Keshi stadium to ensure a successful event

According to Ukah, the LOC of the festival so far has executed its mandate with ease and only requires the cooperation of every other member of the committee and the General public to see that they deliver as promised, even as he charged other states to make the festival a worthwhile event.
