A military aircraft returning from Kaduna state reportedly had a near incidence while landing on Friday morning at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja after a tyre busted, forcing the management to shut down the runway for few hours.
The shutting down of the runway disrupted air operations, affecting other flights entering the abuja airport.

AIT gathered that the incident created panick among air passengers who were waiting at the terminal to board flights but was resolved within two hours as the runway was reopened for normal flight operations.
Report had it on Friday that the Abuja Airport runway was shutdown on Friday due to what one of the airlines described as an ” incursion on the runaway”
Twenty four hours later, the federal airport authority of Nigeria, FAAN and others are yet to release a statement to the public regarding the matter.
