US President Biden

United States President, Joe Biden says he will seek a second term in 2024, but that the decision will be made in conjunction with his wife and family members.

At a press briefing at the White House after Tuesday’s Mid-Term elections, the American leader said himself and the Democratic Party will do everything within the ambit of the law to ensure that his predecesor, Donald Trump does not return to the White House.

He said it will be “fun to take on” either Trump or another touted Republican front-runner, the re-elected Governor of Florida, Ron Desantis

President Biden said the results of the Mid term elections was not a massive loss as predicted by the pollsters, and pointed to gains by democrats in hitherto Republican strongholds.

He said if the final results of the results do not favour his party in Congress, he was ready to work with a Republican party-led Chambers.

He insisted that based on the figures his administration has improved the economy and that he will veto any proposed plan by a Republican-led Congress to raise taxes on the middle and working class.

On acquisition of twitter and the operations of the company by the World’s richest man, Elon Musk, the American leader said
there needs to be a “look at what’s happening there”.

President Biden had earlier in his remarks craved unity among Americans at a time he said, forces from within and outside were desirous of instigating separation among the people of the United States

On foreign policy, he he said, he will continue to engage China over Taiwan and that the United State’s support for that country and Ukraine will remain uppermost in his administration’s policy.
