Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, says Nigerians should remain grateful to members of the Armed Forces who put their lives on the line for the security and unity of the country.
Governor Emmanuel said this in Uyo, the state capital, at the inter-denominational Christian worship to mark the 2020 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration.

This year, the Governor led other members of the State Executive Council, retired and current members of the Armed Forces
at the Christian worship which held at the Word Tabernacle in Uyo.
State Chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Colonel Joseph Esu (Retired), was full of appreciation to the State Government for taking care of the welfare of its members and appealed for all hands to be on deck to fight insecurity in the country.
This year’s event will be rounded off with the grand finale and wreath laying ceremony on Wednesday, January 15.
