Activities have commenced in Edo State to mark the sixth anniversary of Governor Godwin Obaseki’s tenure in office.
The Edo Summit was first of the events lined up to celebrate the milestone.
Eminent personalities from the public and private sectors were in attendance at the Alaghodaro summit which held in the festival hall of the State Government house.
Prominent among the dignitaries were the Oba of Benin, Omo N’oba Nedo Uku Akpolorkpolor, Oba Ewuare the Second.
Chairman of the Board, Alaghodaro limited, Asue Ighodalo addressed the gathering.

Drawing from the theme, Edo’s transformation; partnerships, resilience and impact, Governor Obaseki highlighted the progress made by his administration thus far.
He is hopeful that the ongoing reforms will lead to remarkable increase in the internally generated revenue of the state.
There was a plenary session on achieving competitiveness and another on capitalising on opportunities.
The programme was brought to an end with the launch of the Edo State Smart Residency Identity Card.
