Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the South-South geo-political zone have re-affirmed their absolute support for the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

At a meeting on Wednesday at Government House, Yenagoa, in Bayelsa state, the Governors say they also plan to have a meeting with the G5 Governors to reconcile all lingering issues arising from the last National Convention.

The meeting of the Governors later went into a closed-door session, that lasted for about two hours after which they took turns to brief journalists on the essence of their visit to Bayelsa State.

The meeting had the Governors of Delta, Ifeanyi Okowa, Edo, Godwin Obaseki, Akwa Ibom, Udom Emmanuel, and host Governor, Senator Douye Diri.

The Governors also used the occasion to empathise with the people of Bayelsa State on the recent flood that ravaged the state.
