Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku has presented a budget of N172.7b to the state’s House of Assembly for the year 2023.
The governor also assured that all ongoing projects initiated by his administration will be completed before he leaves office in May next year.
The budget represents an increase of 22 million, making up a 15 per cent increment, compared to the 2022 budget of N149.7 b.
Reflecting on the performance of the 2022 budget, Governor Darius Ishaku says, the budget was well implemented, especially in the areas of agriculture, infrastructure, and health.
The Speaker, of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Joseph Kunini, said the budget is transitional, with room for the next government to consolidate.
Taraba State 2023 Budget Estimates have a Recurrent Expenditure of N74.5b, with a Capital Expenditure of N98.1b.
The budget is titled, “The Budget Of Fulfilment, Rescue Mission, And Transition.
