Exactly 33 days after the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi denied releasing his manifesto, a new copy has now been made public.
The new copy was made available by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Olufemi. The 62-page manifesto titled “Pact with Nigeria” lists insecurity, unity, economy and infrastructure among key priorities.
In the document, Peter Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed insist that a new Nigeria is possible.
They promise legal and institutional reforms with practicable restructuring measures, to fight corruption; and to ensure the enthronement of the rule of law, and decisively tackle all forms of corruption.
Obi and Baba-Ahmed promise to Prioritise Human Capital Development through robust investments in education, health, and infrastructure development.

In the new document, the Labour Party Presidential candidate and the running mate assure Nigerians of a country that works for all and where political power will no longer be used to serve the interest of the ruling class and subject the people to chronic poverty and deprivation.
The former copy of the manifesto was released on October 30, 2022 which was later disowned by Peter Obi and promised to come out with better copy of the document.
Earlier, the party’s National Organising Secretary, Clement Ogechukwu said the manifesto will be presented on Monday.
