The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS and the National Association of University Students, NAUS are backing the Department of State Services, DSS, for the prompt decision to intervene in ending the lingering fuel scarcity.
At a Briefing in Abuja, the spokesman of the student groups, Smart Edwards also condemned renowned human rights Lawyer, Femi Falana, over his Statement on the security agency’s intervention.

The Students argue that fuel scarcity has now become a normal occurrence during festive seasons, following artificial scarcity created by saboteurs and gangs in the oil industry, making motorists go through untold hardship.
The student bodies further encourage the DSS to go all out and carry out National Operations, as the 48-hour ultimatum has not only signalled readiness, but also the capacity to halt what it calls fuel scarcity ‘madness’.
