The Vice Chairman of African School of Diplomacy and International Relations, ASDIR, Tunji Asaolu has underscored the need for intense investment in the practice of democracy, to promote sustainable growth.
Asaolu, said this during an official ceremony of the ASDIR 2nd edition of the 2022 Annual Public Lecture in Abuja.
According to Asaolu, the call for investment in democracy is in line with implementation of the African Charter on democracy, elections and governance of the African Union.
He reassured that the organisation would remain committed to inculcate and contribute meaningfully to the practice to safeguard democracy not just in Nigeria, but also across Africa.

Registrar and Secretary of the Council, ESTAM University, Benin,Omojare Omotayo said that dedication of quality time in democratic processes through registration and voting could promote national growth.
Head of Mission of ISD, Prof. Edet Ekpeyong, urged participants to imbibe tenets of diplomacy to promote good governance in the country.
High point of the event
was the presentation of honorary Doctorate Degree by ESTAM university and honorary Fellowship Award by ASDIR to distinguished Nigerians.
