Ethnic nationalities in the North central region of the country say they will strive to ensure protection and preservation of their rich traditions and cultural heritage from going into extinction.

In this regard, a youth Forum organized a cultural fiesta for the various ethnic nationalities in the Central region of the country in Wamba Local Government of Nasarawa State.

The gathering is aimed at fostering unity, peace and progress amongst the predominant nationalities in the locality and the region.

The songs and dance steps from the 7th edition of the Sisimbaki cultural fiesta in Wamba local government featured the Gbagi, Eggon, Mada, Rindre, Tiv, Nupe, other ethnic groups displaying their rich cultural heritage.

The yearly Cultural fiesta is seen as a tool to foster peace and unity among the coexisting tribes in the North Central region.

The Cultural event also affords the various ethnic groups the opportunity of sight seeing as the gathering usually coincides with the Christmas and new year celebrations.

The expectation as always from the Cultural fiesta is that cultural integration and the age-long traditions of the Sisimbaki people and those of people in the North Central in general will be preserved for generations to come.
