Osun Election Tribunal sitting in Osogbo has reserved judgement date on the case filed by the All Progressives Congress, APC, Gboyega Oyetola challenging the declaration of Senator Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the July 16, 2022 Governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
This is sequel to the tribunal’s admission of the final written addresses of the parties involved in the litigation.
It was a long day at the election petition Tribunal sitting in Osogbo, as counsels for both petitioners and defence presented their final written addresses before the Justice Tetsea Kume led panel.

The petitioner insisted that Senator Adeleke submitted forged certificates, on the grounds of submitting a Testimonial purportedly issued by Ede Muslim Grammar School, bearing Osun State at a time Osun had not been created and another letter of Attestation from Ede Muslim High School to indicate he attended a secondary school.
In their final addresses, the defence counsels submitted that the issue of obtaining a testimonial under the name “Osun State” in 1981, and the issue of Ede Muslim high school and Ede Grammar School have been previously decided by the Court in 2018 because the principal came to testify that they both refer to the same state
They also submitted that the petitioners did not call any witness from any of the school that issued the certificate.
On the issue of BVAS, the defense counsels noted that APC hurriedly went to the INEC to demand for the result of the election while synchronization was still ongoing, adding that the APC filled their case prematurely
After listening to submissions of counsels , the Tribunal then rose and subsequently adjourned for judgement on a date it said would be communicated to all parties
