A Divisional Police Officer, DPO, simply identified as SP Laree, who was recently kidnapped in the Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State, North Central Nigeria, has regained his freedom.
Laree was reportedly abducted at a Hotel in the Pankshin Council area, last week Thursday, a day after he had resumed posting as the New DPO of the Area.
It is however not clear how much the kidnappers were paid in ransom for the DPO’s release.

A family member who does not want his name mentioned told our correspondent that the police officer has regained his freedom and has been taken to the Hospital where he is currently being given Medical attention.
The spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command DSP Alfred Alabo, could not be reached for comment at the time of filling in this report.
