Terrorists abduct all 25 worshippers, injure pastor at a church in katsina

Suspected terrorists operating in the forest area of kankara local government area of katsina state have launched a fresh attack on a Church abducting all the 25 worshippers and leaving the injured pastor behind.

Secretary of the katsina state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Dr. Musa Peters who confirmed the incident to AIT news gave the name of the church as, Global Mission Church located in Gidan Haruna Dan Mai tsauni Gurbi ward of Kankara local government area.

He added that the church recently changed its name from ‘New Life for all church’ to, Global Mission Church.

According to him, the incident occurred at about 11:am Sunday morning, January 15 while the worshippers were conducting service.

He said, “A terrible report reaching me has it that a church in Kankara local government was attacked this morning around 11:00 am while service was ongoing and all the worshippers except the pastor who was injured were kidnapped”.

The Katsina CAN secretary also confirmed that the injured pastor is in a medical facility in katsina receiving treatment while, security agents have been notified and effort is on to rescue them.

This attack on the Global mission church in Kankara, Katsina state, is coming after a similar attack happened in Minna, the Niger state capital same January 15 where a Catholic Priest was shot and burnt to death after they tried to break into the pastorium.
