A four man suspected fraud syndicate has been uncovered by the police in Delta state.
The suspects who usually report successful POS transactions as declined transactions were arrested by operatives of the Decoy squad acting on intelligence at Ogwashi-Uku town, Aniochia South local government area.
According to the police, the suspects, Allison Louis a native of Numan local government area of Adamawa state, Sunday David from Oturkpo in Benue state, Peter Akagbai from Ogwashi-Uku and Chibuzor Elumeze from Ogwashi-Uku who are all males in their early twenties, go to filling stations, POS operators and super markets where they purchase items and also make withdrawals with their ATM cards and call their banks to give false complaints that transactions are not successful.

The banks without due investigations, will wrongly debit the victims and credit the account of the suspects.
The suspects confessed to have so far defrauded a lot of persons across the state of several millions in naira, with POS operators and filling stations as their main victims.
Fifteen different bank ATM cards were recovered from the syndicate.
The police command in a press statement issued stated that once investigation was concluded, the suspects will be charged to court.
