Less than 28 days to the 2023 General Elections, the Peace Corps of Nigeria is working towards equipping its personnel with digital literacy skills, for efficient and effective service delivery, to reduce crime in the country.

The National Commandant, Dickson Akoh, made this known during the opening of a three-day training exercise with a United Kingdom-based, American Society for Quality, ASQ Development And Training Centre.

The first leg of the training kick-started with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU with a United Kingdom-based ASQ Company.

The National Corps has a membership strength of over 187,000 comprising regular members and volunteers, with no fewer than 15,000 already registered for the training.

At present, the corps awaits President Muhammadu Buhari’s assent to the Peace Corps Bill, before his second tenure ends in May. (Editor: Ifeanyi Mark)
