The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority NMDPRA has directed all oil marketers to ensure the free use of means of payment other than cash, such as Point Of Sale(POS) for the sale of petroleum products.
The Authority issued the statement following widespread reports that a number of retail outlets are insisting on cash only before making their products available.

In the statement, the NMDPRA assured Nigerians of its commitment to ensuring products get to consumers seamlessly.
