At least 47 suspects including an alleged rapist, Bernard Akan, have been arrested for various offences in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Commissioner of Police in the Territory, Bala Ciroma, warned that there will no hiding place for those who want to make the nation’s capital uncomfortable for the residents.

Ciroma said that the FCT Police Command has mapped out strategies to nip crime in the bud especially the rising cases of kidnapping across the six area councils of the Territory.
Some of the suspects, who spoke to AIT, confessed to their involvement in the crimes including those terrorising the Jikwoyi and Kurudu areas of the Territory.
