A staff of Damba General Hospital in Zamfara State, North-West Nigeria, Aisha Suleiman and her 12-year-old daughter, Khadija Mahmood Ammani who were abducted one month ago by terrorists in Gusau, the capital have regained their freedom.
The husband of Aisha, Salisu Isah confirmed the release of the two victims this Sunday via voice note to AIT.live.
He said the two victims who spent four weeks in captivity were freed Saturday night.after payment of an undisclosed amount of money as ransom.
Isah blamed the government’s failure to take the war to the doorstep of the terrorists who are responsible for the escalation of the abduction of innocent citizens in the State for ransom.

He, however, disclosed that the terrorists said they were tired of carrying out banditry activities and wanted to negotiate with the government so that they could surrender their arms.
He called on the government to intensify efforts in the fight against banditry in Zamfara State and bring an end to the incessant abduction.
It could be recalled that Aisha and her daughter were abducted by terrorists who demanded N50 million as ransom for their release.
