The Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has restated his administration’s commitment, to the security of lives and properties of the people.
Ikpeazu stated this in a meeting with the Local Government Chairmen and some stakeholders in the security sector of the state, at the Governor’s Lodge in Aba.
He emphasized the importance of security, as the state is at the confluence of the South East and South-South, with the possibility of criminal activities from these other areas snowballing into the state.

The Governor announced the distribution of various types of logistics, to enable the person to carry out their duties effectively.
The Chairman, Obingwa LGA, Ibe Nwoke, and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Homeland Security, Christopher Okpara, promised to align with the new policy direction of the Governor, in order to nip insecurity in the bud.
Recall that as a result of Security challenges witnessed in the state a few months ago, a security summit was held in Umuahia, to fashion ways of ensuring a peaceful environment in the state.
