The Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has sworn- in Justice Okey Iyke Nwamoh as the substantive President of the Abia State Customary Court of Appeal.
The Governor equally inaugurated the newly reconstituted Judicial Service Commission at a ceremony in Umuahia, the State capital.
Addressing the judicial officers and other guests, Governor Ikpeazu charged the new President of the Court to maintain cordial working relationship with the other arms of government in the State and uphold the place of the Judiciary in the democratic experience.
The Governor assured that the State Government will continue to support the Judiciary with all necessary tools that will make her succeed, while expressing confidence that with their wealth of experiences, value would be added in the State Judiciary.
The new President of the Abia State Customary Court of Appeal, Nwamoh, thanked the Governor for the honour, pledging to abide by the oath of office and allegiance which he had taken, in the discharge of his duties.
Justice Okey Nwamoh is the sixth President of the Abia State Customary Court of Appeal, since the creation of the State.
