To ensure total compliance to the strike declared by the Nigerian Labour Congress NLC, Abia State, the leadership of the Union has started picketing government offices in Umuahia.
The state NLC had directed her members to withdraw their services to Abia Government and stay at home from 12 midnight on Monday.
Speaking to newsmen at one of the locations, the state NLC Chairman Pascal Nweke said the Union decided to resume the strike it earlier suspended following the government’s failure to meet up with agreements they reached on issues concerning the welfare of workers.
