The life of professor Jubrin Diso a visually impaired Teacher of special Education at Bayero university Kano, gives credence to the adage that says there is ability in disability.
Though born blind Jubrin Isah Diso pursued Education up to university level to become first Blind professor in Nigeria.
Many visually impaired people like him will resort to begging for alms on the streets of most northern cities.

But Jubrin Diso chooses to pursue Education to be a teacher first at Wudil Teachers college, Bayero university Kano and University of Birmingham in the united kingdom.
Professor Diso said visually impaired people read and write using a special computer known as Braille machine which costs between 200 and 250 thousand naira.
When asked how he copes as a blind person in an academic environment Jubrin Diso said his colleagues were not hostile to him.
In recognition of his academic contribution Bayero university Kano appointed him professor of special Education in 2018.
