Nigeria’s Acting Inspector General of Police Alkali Baba has ordered the posting of Commissioner of Police, Christopher Owolabi to take over as CP Anambra State while the current CP Monday Bala Kurya is redeployed to the Force Anti-Fraud section in Abuja.
Two Deputy Commissioners of Police and 14 Assistant Commissioners of Police have also been deployed to the South East region of the country.
This reshuffle was announced in a press statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer Frank Mba who also stated that the deployment of the new CP is part of the ongoing efforts at re-ordering, overhauling, and strengthening the security and policing architecture in Anambra State and other States of the South-East and South-South geo-political zones of the country.

It’s the Acting IGP’s first move in posting and redeployment of personnel since he assumed office three weeks ago.
Recall that the Police Chief had met with Strategic Commanders of the Force operating from the South East few days after the attack on the Nigeria Police and Correctional Center headquarters in Imo State.
