Flood has continued to displace Riverine Communities of Adamawa State
Fifty one ( 51 ) people have so far died in Adamawa State as a result of the 2022 flooding and still counting.
Executive secretary of the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA) Suleiman Muhammad disclosed this to AIT News crew in Yola, Adamawa State.

Major occupations of the people here are farming, fishing and hunting among others, explaining why they are referred to as Riverine Communities since time immemorial
Now their farms are gone, houses destroyed and other valuables in millions worth, gone with the flood while families buried their relations whose lives were cut short by the perennial flood.

Homun Daniel Shaga Ismaila is one of the Eight first class Monarchs of Adamawa State, he is the King of Bachama, the very people whom the flood is tormenting;
He believes that the flood disaster can be tackled
While Bulus Daniel represents Lamurde local government area as its Council Chairman, his counterpart Christopher Sofore is that of Numan local government area.
For now, these people who are scampering for safety have been forced by the flood to flee to makeshift camps even as they groan on a daily basis over absence of food, clothing and shelter.
