Adamawa State commissioner of police, Sikiru Akande has expressed concern that in spite of the success of the police in reducing crime in the state, culpable homicide and domestic violence is on the increase.
The Police Commissioner said this in Yola while parading 31 suspected criminals arrested across the state.

Among those paraded include 8 “Shila” boys who are specialists in snatching mobile phones from mainly young ladies in the metropolis.
Also on parade were 23 suspects nabbed for culpable homicide, domestic violence, rape, and kidnapping
The Police Commissioner said “the command carried out a tactical and intelligence driven dusk to dawn raid of criminal hideouts, leading to the arrest of the suspects
He said that the state is being bedeviled by series of culpable homicides, domestic violence and rape crimes, a reason he says is why the police is leaving no stone unturned, to rid the state of these crimes.
