Factional National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Nafiu Bala, says he will not withdraw the leadership tussle case before the Federal High Court in Abuja despite mounting pressure.
The position comes less than 24 hours after factional leader, Leke Abejide, exited the party.
In a statement by his Chief of Staff, Sani Bala, he said Abejide’s resignation is a personal decision and does not affect the ongoing legal process.
Bala also denied reports alleging he authorised statements claiming threats to his life or family, describing them as false and intended to discredit his case.

He maintained that his legal action is based on the ADC constitution, citing Articles 8(2) and 9(4), and not on political inducement.
He warned those behind what he described as defamatory publications to desist or face legal action.
