President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has congratulated the Super Eagles on their bronze-medal finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio described the Super Eagles playoff victory against Egypt’s Pharaohs as a clear demonstration of skill, resilience, and determination.
He commended the team for their outstanding performance, noting that the achievement reflects the immense talent and fighting spirit for which Nigeria is renowned on the international stage.
The Senate President urged the players to celebrate the accomplishment with pride and use it as motivation to aim for even greater success in future competitions.
Akpabio added that the bronze-medal finish serves as a source of inspiration to millions of Nigerians and expressed optimism about the team’s continued progress.
