The Pan Yoruba socio-cultural organization, Afenifere, has relieved Pa Ayo Adebanjo as the Acting Leader of the group.

Reading the resolutions of the organisation at the meeting held at the residence of national Leader,Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the National Publicity Secretary of the organisation, Jare Ajayi said the decision is based on the pressing need to reposition and rejuvenate Afenifere.

He said Afenifere decided that the position of Acting Leader and Deputy Leader have now been abrogated.

Ajayi said with the abrogation of the positions of acting leader and deputy leader, Pa. Ayo Adebanjo ceases to be the acting leader of the organisation.

The Position follows a motion moved by Samuel Ibikunle from Ogun State on the need to abrogate the dual positions of Acting Leader and Deputy Leader, and seconded by members from Ekiti, Kwara, Oyo and Ondo states.
