The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Professor Mahmoud Yakubu says, despite the current cash crunch, and fuel scarcity challenges in the country, the 2023 General Elections will hold.
Yakubu said this on Wednesday, during an interview with State House Correspondents, shortly after briefing the Executive Council of the Federation, on the commission’s readiness for the election.
The INEC Chairman while responding to a question from our State House Correspondent, Yemi Adebayo, on what he told the council, he said the commission is already putting finishing touches to its preparation for the exercise.

The INEC Chairman said the commission is also working closely with all relevant agencies, including security, to ensure a hitch-free election.
