The Nigerian Army has warned its officers and Soldiers against indiscriminate use of social media,reminding them of extant rules and the military position on its Social media Policy especially as the Nation’s General Elections is near.
The General Officer Commanding 82 Division, Enugu,Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, gave the reminder during the annual West Africa Social Activities organised by the 13 Brigade of the Nigeria Army in Càlabar.
Lagbaja who was represented by the Commander of Army Amphibious Training School, Brigadier General Frank Etim,while commending the officers and men of the command for a good outing, warned that no act of indiscipline will be tolerated.
Governor Ben Ayade who was represented at the event by the Permanent Secretary, Security Services,Alfred Mboto, commended the Nigeria Army for working within the ambit of the law in Cross River State,inline with the mandate of ongoing internal security duties in Nigeria.
The 2022 edition of Army Social week, organised by the 13 Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Everest Okoro, attracted musical and dance troupes representing different ethnic nationalities in Nigeria.
